If you need additional guidance, please contact info@cltexam.com.
For CLT3-8 exams, you will order a specific test type to be taken during the testing window. We currently have one testing window in the fall and one in the spring. The dates for the testing period are listed on the Step Up order page.
Once your Step Up order is sent to CLT, you will receive a confirmation email. CLT will send you an additional email within three business days with instructions for accessing your account and exams. Once you log in, you can see the proctor manuals, administration guides, and other resources. Make sure you are toggled to the CLT3-8 side of the dashboard! The button to do this is in the top left corner.
If the testing window is currently open, please allow up to four business days before planning to test.
When you purchase a CLT10 or CLT through Step Up, you receive a test fee waiver code that can be applied to any applicable test date. You will need to select this specific date by registering on CLT's website.
You will receive this unique testing code via email within 2-3 business days after purchasing. This code is only valid for an exam during the academic year for which it was purchased. Please follow these step-by-step instructions to register:
1. Go to the CLT website to create an account or sign in to an existing account.
2. Once you are logged in, select ‘Register for a Test’ and select CLT or CLT10.
3. Select your desired test date from the drop-down menu and click ‘Register for Selected Test Date.’
4. Complete your student profile, or skip ahead to payment and complete it later.
5. Enter your unique testing code to complete your purchase. This will waive the exam fee.
Ordering Differences Between CLT3-8 and CLT10/CLT:
There are key differences in registering for lower grade and upper grade exams. Please make sure that you have looked at the order instructions for each type if you are ordering both. These can be found above. Also note that the email address associated with your Step Up account will receive all communication from CLT.
What grade level should my student take in the fall?
Fall CLT3-8 exams are geared towards students at the beginning of that grade level, so we would recommend your student take the test for whichever grade level they are entering For example, if they are going into 5th grade, the should take the fall CLT5.
Can I have multiple students on the same account?
For CLT10 and CLT students, each student must have their own account under a unique email address.
There can be multiple CLT3-8 students under the same email because lower grade exams are hosted on a test manager account. Profile information is not needed for CLT3-8 exams. Each 3-8 student will enter some basic identifying information when they start their test.
Where can I find my CLT3-8 tests?
Your tests are available during the testing window. You will be able to log into your CLT account (login information will have been sent in a previous email) and see your tests under the "Registrations" tab. Be sure you are toggled to the CLT3-8 side of the dashboard. This toggle can be found in the top left corner. To access your tests, you will select the "Test Access Code" text.
Where can I get an invoice with my student's name for Step Up reimbursment?
We can provide this to you! Please send an email with this request to info@cltexam.com with all the information you need included on the invoice. If you have multiple students, please specify which test is for which student. You can do this before or after the exam is taken.
What if I need a refund?
If you need a refund for an order placed through Step Up, please contact info@cltexam.com We will handle cancelling your order and contacting Step Up.
