This week, The Washington Post published an opinion piece titled: “Move over, SAT and ACT. There’s a better test.”

The article argues that changes to the SAT and ACT have made both exams less rigorous over time, while the CLT continues to emphasize deep reading, reasoning, vocabulary, and mathematics without a calculator, serving as a better predictor of academic preparedness at the college level.
